Reblogged from Dr Bill Wooten:
“I was happy, I knew that. While experiencing happiness, we have difficulty in being conscious of it. Only when the happiness is past and we look back on it do we suddenly realize - sometimes with astonishment - how happy we had been.” ~ Nikos Kazantzakis, Zorba the Greek

I love this movie..I love the music. I love that in the deepest despair, the act of surrender can give rise to the most elemental joy in the world. Thank you for this post today Bill..
mimi: a long time since I have seen that. Makes me smile, remember, and be thankful.
It had the same effect on me. I hadn’t even thought of this movie in so long. And he was exuberant!
I remember going to see Zorba with my mom as a kid. It was the beginning of the incessant itch I had to visit Greece. Was able to finally fulfill the lifelong dream in 2011. Happy… Great repost. And what an uplifting way to start the day.
I haven’t been able to get the music out of my head all morning..xoxo, m

It really delighted me to re-post..;-)
“You can laugh!” – love that line. and dancing ALWAYS lifts the spirits whether it’s watching someone dance, or kicking it up ourselves. This is joy…what a treat, thank you for reposting this!
