I love this movie..I love the music. I love that in the deepest despair, the act of surrender can give rise to the most elemental joy in the world. Thank you for this post today Bill..
“I was happy, I knew that. While experiencing happiness, we have difficulty in being conscious of it. Only when the happiness is past and we look back on it do we suddenly realize – sometimes with astonishment – how happy we had been.” ~ Nikos Kazantzakis, Zorba the Greek
mimi: a long time since I have seen that. Makes me smile, remember, and be thankful.
It had the same effect on me. I hadn’t even thought of this movie in so long. And he was exuberant!
I remember going to see Zorba with my mom as a kid. It was the beginning of the incessant itch I had to visit Greece. Was able to finally fulfill the lifelong dream in 2011. Happy… Great repost. And what an uplifting way to start the day.
I haven’t been able to get the music out of my head all morning..xoxo, m
Pure Joy.

It really delighted me to re-post..;-)
“You can laugh!” – love that line. and dancing ALWAYS lifts the spirits whether it’s watching someone dance, or kicking it up ourselves. This is joy…what a treat, thank you for reposting this! 🙂 xox
