Sunday Morning

It’s the perfect Sunday morning – good coffee, gentle rain, the New York Times, my husband and me.  All in my family are well.  My friends and I may not always be skipping through life, but we’re old enough to know that there is far more to be grateful for, than envious of.  We’re made stronger by paying it forward and most of us are trying to figure out how to do that more and more.  And for all that – I would re-affirm that it is just the perfect Sunday morning.  I just wanted to wish you the same – and a smile.

    1. Thank YOU! I’ve been getting dirty looks though from Archie and Teddy, because I neglected to mention their presence as being paramount to a perfect Sunday – my bad apparently, given the soulful looks I’m getting.. 🙂

      1. Don’t think I didn’t get the cold shoulder for that too! But they’re a little shallow – they got an extra treat and I think I’ve been forgiven!

  1. I count my blessings every single day. I always invite my friends to spend one day with me and see the patients I help try to recover after some devastating medical events (and believe me folks…nursing homes are not filled with only “old” people) and you’ll look at your life differently, and appreciate what you have. Enjoy your wonderful Sunday, my friend.

  2. I am so lucky to have your friendship Capt – as are those who are fortunate enough to spend the day with you and those who are helped by your kindness, commitment and therapeutic touch…

  3. Love mornings like this! Maybe the only thing that beats a regular peaceful morning is an unexpected snow day–time off work and school to enjoy new snow (a novelty in NM).
