Touching

I had posted this on my FB page earlier today, but Bill beat me to it on WordPress. Puppies and horses – nothing better (my children exempted)

Recently I had a post with this song and today saw a Superbowl Ad for Budweiser. I have away been partial to big dogs and big horses and have found their commercials hit a soft spot with me. This one is no different and thought I would share it . . .

George Saunders’ Advice to Graduates

It’s all here…

George Saunders delivered this convocation speech at Syracuse University for the class of 2013. It subsequently went viral, and there’s a really solid reason for that; It’s awesome. In case you have not read it already, please enjoy;

George Saunders’ Advice to Graduates
George Saunders by Damon Winter from the The New York Times.

The entire speech, graduation season or not, is well worth reading, and is included below.

“Down through the ages, a traditional form has evolved for this type of speech, which is: Some old fart, his best years behind him, who, over the course of his life, has made a series of dreadful mistakes (that would be me), gives heartfelt advice to a group of shining, energetic young people, with all of their best years ahead of them (that would be you).

Having access to internet, celebrate that.

Every day I see these negative things on Facebook

The greatest kindness

Loving and letting go may not seem to go hand in hand – and yet..

drbillwooten's avatarDr Bill Wooten

“Love is sometimes shown in the things you don’t say, don’t keep track of and don’t notice. The greatest kindness is often shown in letting things go. None of us is perfect, but we can all be perfect friends and perfect partners by allowing those that we love to be imperfect. Give those around you the “break” that you hope the world will give you on your own “bad day” and you’ll never, ever regret it.” ~ Neale Donald Walsch
